PSEB Class XII Result 2019 released
The Punjab School of Education Board (PSEB) Class XII result 2019 was released on May 11 in the afternoon. While the Board announced the pass percentage, names of toppers, merit list and other details, the result was not released online immediately, according to IE report. Lakhs of students were still waiting to check their result online which has finally been released on the Board’s official website. Punjab board Class XII students can now check their result from the official website, pseb.ac.in.

- Click on the result link on the homepage. You will be redirected to Indiaresults.com which is hosting the Punjab Board exam results
- Enter the required details. Make sure details entered match the information provided on your PSEB 12th exam admit card
- Submit and view your result.
This year, an estimated 2.90 lakh students had appeared in Class XII Board examinations in Punjab. The performance of students this year has been far better than last year. The pass percentage increased by more than 20% this year. While in 2018 the pass percentage was 65.97%, the pass percentage increased to 86.41% this year. This year too, girls performed better than boys with two girls becoming state toppers out of the three joint toppers. The three toppers have scored 445 marks out of 450 and have secured 98.89%, noted the report. The pass percentage for girls is 90.86% and for boys the pass percentage is 82.83%, the report pointed out.
The Punjab School Education Board came into existence through a legislative enactment in November 1969 for the development and promotion of school education in the state of Punjab. In 1987, the Vidhan Sabha amended the Board’s Act to grant it autonomy. The scope of Board’s functions is very wide and covers almost every aspect/stage of school education. PSEB s a school board based in Mohali, Chandigarh, India. It was founded in 1969 under a legislative act of the Government of Punjab to administer the curriculum taught in public schools in the Punjab state and conduct standardized examinations in addition to conducting administration of scholarships, and publishing of textbooks. The headquarters of the Board are located in SAS Nagar (Mohali), near Chandigarh. The Board is headed by a full-time Chairman whose term lasts three years and who technically reports to the Secretary of School Education in the Government of Punjab.The current Education Secretary is Mr. Krishan Kumar. He is sincerely committed to shape the education system of punjab by his pionnering Initiatives like ‘Padho Punjab’.
