TN First Year HSE Results Declared

Directorate of Government Examinations Tamil Nadu (DGE TN) released the +1 results this morning at 9.30 A.M. The first year higher secondary examination result otherwise known as the +1 result is available on the official result portal tnresults.nic.in and dge.tn.nic.in. This year the DGE Tamil Nadu is releasing the +1 result 23 days earlier than it was declared last year, according to the report. Students can download the result using their registration number and date of birth. The original mark sheet and pass certificate supporting the TN +1 result will be issued by the schools, immediately after the results are out. Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu students have given a better performance this year in +2 and SSLC result. While the pass percentage in +2 result is 91.3%, it is 95.2% in class 10 or the SSLC examination, this year.

The Directorate of Government Examinations was formed as a separate directorate in Feb.1975. Prior to the formation of Directorate Of Government Examinations, the then DPI/DSE was the ex-officio commissioner for Govt. exams and the department was having its office at Madras only. The first secondary school leaving certificate exam was conducted in the year 1911. This directorate started conducting the following major exams from the year noted against each of them in addition to the various examinations. The Directorate has seven regional offices at Madurai, Coimbatore, Tiruchirappalli, Tirunelveli, Chennai, Cuddalore and Vellore.

Apart from the academic stream examination in academic fields, this department is conducting various vocational stream examinations also as given in the Annexure. At present this department in conducting exams for about 25 lakh students every year, To enable the drop out who could not pursue their school studies due to various reasons, this department is conducting 8th standard public exam purely for private candidates. Likewise, private candidates are also permitted to appear for SSLC and Hr. Sec. School Exams directly either wholly or compartmentally.
